TD 900 Stirling Cycle Hot Air Engine

To demonstrate Stirling cycle principle. The system is a bench-type model. It consists of two vertical stainless steel cylinders. The first cylinder is to generate hot air using a heater powered by a variable power input. The second cylinder is to generate power. Both cylinders are attached to a common shaft, with a suitable flywheel. Instruments are provided for measurement of input power and output power, to enable efficiency calculation.

 

TD 625 Multi-Stage Centrifugal Air Compressor Demonstration

A bench top unit for studying the multi-stage centrifugal air compressor characteristics with data analysis by computer (using accessories as per indicated below). The unit consists of a small multi-stage air compressor with a motor, on a steel base, inlet and outlet ducts, sensors and software.
The unit is intended to be used with a control/power box with a computer interface. This is separately supplied. 220V, 50Hz.

 

TD 400 Absorption Refrigeration Trainer

Bench-top unit to understand the structure of an absorption refrigeration system and the function of its components. It comprises a generator, condenser, evaporator, absorber and a fluid servoir, heating element. Working medium is a composition of absorbent (aqueous ammonia) with high boiling point. Fitted with measuring instruments for temperatures, voltage and current. It enables fault finding, 220V, 50Hz (or as required).

 

 

TD 262 Ice Making Test Rig

For studying the operation of a refrigeration system that produces ice cubes the system enables to simulate a system under a variety of conditions.

It comprises a hermetic compressor, ice chamber with integrated heat exchanger, with all piping system and sighting glass. It uses environment friendly refrigerant (R134A). The refrigeration cycle is mounted on a back panel with a clear layout for easy following of the cycle. Measuring instruments include pressure gauges, thermocouples for temperature measurement, current and voltage meters. Measurements provide data for plotting the thermodynamic cycle

 

 

TD 222 Heat Pump Demonstration Stand

The Basic Heat Pump Demonstration stand is a bench-top model, to enable experiments and calculations of heat-pump process. The evaporator and condenser are made of copper tubes each surrounded with a jacket tube for water. The unit is equally suitable for laboratory experiments and classroom for demonstration. The following parameters can be measured by built-in

TD 112 Boiling Heat Transfer Apparatus

The bench-top apparatus consists of a transparent tank enclosed at the top and the bottom. At the bottom of the tank is a small heating cylinder and a special liquid simulating a fire tube heating water in the boiler. The liquid vapour is condensed at the top of the tank and the condensed liquid returns to the bottom for re-boiling. Sensors are provided for measurement of temperatures,
pressure, cooling water flow rate, and input power. An analogue to digital converter and software provide data reading on computer (PC not supplied). A cooling pail is provided for hot climates to cool water
