FM 002 Pascal’s Apparatus

Bench-top, to demonstrate that pressure at the bottom of liquid column depends only on height of column and not on shape of vessels. Tapered glass socket fitted into a base block held to a stand by a rod. Other side of the base block with rod holding a pivot supporting a lever. One end of the lever is a pressure disc against the bottom of the base block; the other has a sliding weight hanger with weights. Glass vessels of different shapes alternatively fit on tapered glass socket. Scale to measure height of water.
